We went to Jasmine's first choir concert tonight at North High School. They called it the Pyramid Concert which consisted of all the 5th grade elementary choirs, the middle school choirs, and the Tartan & North's choirs. There they were all together in the gym singing a few songs together and a few songs separate. Jasmine was excited for the concert and if you watch the video she on the top row, far left. It is a little hard to see the kids separately but you can see that Carver School has the largest group of kids by the farthest. In the beginning, Jasmine said the entire 5th grade tried out except like six kids. Also, if you listen closely, Jayna is a chatter box and is more like a bug everyday.
Jasmine says she likes choir but is pretty sure she isn't going to be involved with it next year. Instead she wants to study French as her language, they are now requiring them to do this in middle school and in high school. We will see how long that desire lasts.
I have tried for the past two days to get a video on this post, but have been unsuccessful. So I will keep trying and let you know if that ever happens. But close your eyes and imagine lime green shirts on a bunch of wound up 5th graders and you will have a picture of what I am talking about. Then put in Jayna who every five minutes asked if we could go home and you will get an idea of what it was like to be in the audience. So I guess you can say you didn't miss much but the students had fun and Ms. Sorenson (North High Choir Teacher) still looks the same as she did when I went to school there.
Next performance is on Feb. 4th if anyone wants to go to that one :-)
