Long Winter Days

I think the days are finally getting to the Carvellis down here in Maplewood. Kids that don't get to extrude their energy are kids that drive mom and dad mad. I am looking forward to the summer or at least better weather. My daily walks on the treadmill feel like I am walking no where, hey... I guess that is just what I am doing. Now the kids expect to see me up there walking away and Jayna keeps asking me when she gets to use the treadmill. Anthony even seems to be calmed down by the motion of the treadmill. Tony is getting bigger by the day, but bigger isn't always better. The poor boy still can't sit steady, but rolls over like no other. Unfortunately, when he finds himself on his stomach he's lost and cries until he gets back over.

Thoughts of warmer days has inspired me to look toward summer and I have started gathering a list of beaches and activities around the Twin Cities that are free or cheap to get us out of here. I hope to make it up toward Anoka too this summer...got to see baby Herr and for sure Jayna wants to play with Mia. So hopefully this spring falls by quick and warmer.

Valentine's Day

Once again Valentine's Day has come and gone. I hope everyone had a wonderful time. I know the kids did thanks to family. The kids love getting mail from the family. Jayna is still carrying here lady bug valentine around the house. We did our traditional things like buying the heart pizza from Papa Murphy's, the kids love the pizza and it gives me a night off from cooking. It was a little different not having Chris at the house, but I know he was celebrating with his second love...snowmobiling in Wyoming with Mark Kluge. I think Chris and I are going to try and celebrate once he gets home (again, I will believe it when we are actually out). Feburary is almost over and Spring is just aroung the corner let's all stop, take a moment, and enjoy life.

Winter Blues

Minnesota winters always seems to drag along. Just when the cold weather seems to be dragging on and on, the weather throws us the warmer temps and now our driveway is a disaster. I am trying to get some of the pictures on this blog for everyone to see the progress to the addition but unfortunately I lost a majority of the pictures when the house computer crashed. So now I am going backwards and trying to find pictures. It is hard to believe that May is just three and a half months away and Chris still proclaims we will be in the addition, but there seems to be so much to do still. Joel Christoperson has gotten most of the upstairs wired up and we are going to start on the lower level. We are just waiting on the plumber to catch up on his end of the bargin. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Newbie

I want to thank Julie for this idea. It's wonderful to be able to keep in touch with others when life seems to be flying by so fast. Who would think it is already Feb. 2009, where did Jan. go?
